Scapa

October 2008, members of Allander Divers SAA 786 headed to Orkney to dive the wrecks of the German High Seas Fleet which was scuttled in Scapa Flow during the first World War. These ships had been inturned at Scapa Flow while the politicians poured over the fine print on the Treaty of Versailles. When the German officer in charge at Scapa Flow discovered the plan to divvy up the german fleet he decided to have the whole fleet scuttled.
